Bishop Michael A. Blue + Pastor Malinda Blue

Bishop Michael A. Blue and Pastor Malinda Blue serve together as the founding pastors of The Door of Hope Christian Church (DHCC) in Marion, South Carolina, established in February 1992, senior pastors of The St. John Church of the Apostolic Faith (SJC) in Camden, New Jersey, and senior pastors of True Faith Fellowship Church (TFFC) in Florence, South Carolina. Since 1992, they have faithfully co-labored in ministry with a shared passion for teaching, worship, and empowering believers to fulfill their divine purpose. Their ministry has grown to impact lives locally, nationally, and abroad through preaching, teaching, and leadership development.

Born in North Carolina and raised in South Carolina, Bishop Blue has dedicated his life to education, ministry, and leadership. He served for twenty-five years as an award-winning educator in Marion County public schools, teaching English and Gospel Chorus. In 1997 he was consecrated to the bishopric, and since 2000 he has presided over the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries (CCFM), a network of churches and leaders across the United States. He also hosts the annual CCFM Conference at the Florence Center in Florence, South Carolina, where thousands gather each year for worship, training, and spiritual renewal.

Bishop Blue earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Francis Marion University and has served on the South Carolina State Board of Education, the iMPACT Marion County Committee, and the Marion County Long Term Recovery Group. He is the author of Building Credibility in Leadership: Principles for Secondary Leaders, and he continues to mentor leaders through teaching, writing, and example. A devoted intercessor, he hosts The Prayer Journey three times weekly on Facebook Live and YouTube, guiding thousands in prayer and biblical reflection. His life motto remains to “bring pleasure to Christ’s Heart and fame to His Name.”

Pastor Malinda Blue, born in Camden, New Jersey, is the seventh child of the late Bishop Carlyle Tarte Sr. and the late Mother Mary J. Tarte. Raised in a ministry family, she gained a reputation early for her powerful singing voice, purity of lifestyle, and endearing personality. She was educated in the Camden County School System and furthered her studies at Lincoln Technical Institute, the Kane Business Institute, and the Glassboro State College in Special Education. She continues her educational pursuits through Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Married on June 8, 1991, Michael and Malinda began ministry together less than a year later when The Door of Hope Christian Church was birthed. Pastor Malinda has served faithfully alongside her husband in various capacities, leading praise and worship, directing the women’s fellowship, teaching children’s classes, and hosting ministry events. She also plays a vital role in the work of CCFM, serving as First Lady and coordinating sessions for pastors’ wives and women in ministry. Her grace, wisdom, and warmth have made her a trusted voice among women of faith.

Together, Bishop Michael and Pastor Malinda Blue are the proud parents of Michala and Michael II (BJ) and serve as spiritual parents to many. Their partnership in life and ministry reflects their mutual devotion to Christ, to one another, and to the advancement of God’s Kingdom. They continue to inspire others through their message, their marriage, and their model of servant leadership, helping every person they encounter to achieve their highest potential through Jesus Christ, to the glory of God.
